PRESS RELEASE N° 010/P.S.IMB/09

Following the official tours made by the Founder and President of the Social Party IMBERAKURI (P.S.IMBERAKURI) as scheduled on 26th and 27th December 2009 with an aim of opening the Party’s headquarters in all Provinces of the Country;

Given the irresponsible behavior of the authorities of Kigali regime who torpedoed our Party program in all Provinces;

The P.S.IMBERAKURI vehemently condemns the Kigali regime and informs all Rwandans in general and IMBERAKURI in particular the following:

Article I :
The P.S.IMBERAKURI notes with bitterness that the Kigali regime isn’t ready to accept any political activities aiming to establish democracy and peace in Rwanda. The threats against people who wanted to rent their houses to house the provincial headquarters of the P.S.IMBERAKURI are irrefutable evidences among others.

Article 2 :
The P.S.IMBERAKURI reaffirms that such irresponsible behaviors characterized by dictatorship and leaderless aim to uproot the opposition Parties. Thus, such behaviors don’t give any hope for democracy and prosperity in Rwanda, but instead can plunge again Rwandans into mourning.

Article 3 :
The P.S.IMBERAKURI demands the Kigali regime to be honest rather than keeping on deceiving both the Rwandans and international community that peace and political space prevail in Rwanda. That's true because the same authorities are strongly determined to undermine the fundamental rights of Rwandans. Having prevented the local population of all Provinces of Rwanda to rent their houses to P.S.IMBERAKURI is an example of conspicuous violation of property rights recognized by the Rwandan Constitution.

Article 4 :
Considering those monotonically increasing terrorist and vile acts done by the Kigali regime against the P.S.IMBERAKURI, the only official opposition, it's clear as crystal, that the ruling party RPF cannot govern Rwanda democratically. These acts are clear and irrefutable evidences that show the atmosphere in which the forthcoming presidential elections will take place. If nothing is done to change this situation, thes elections will certainly be characterized by threats, fraud and the abuse of power that have been denounced since RPF came to power.

Article 5 :
Given the foregoing, the P.S.IMBERAKURI publicly reaffirmed that the National Electoral Commission shall be amended as regards to its composition and before the elections. The P.S.IMBERAKURI must be part of this Commission which is currently in full control of RPF and must occupy an important place therein as an opposition party or else it won’t participate in the forthcoming elections because their preparations don’t give any guaranty of transparency.

Article 6 :
To promote a sustainable peace for the Rwandans, the P.S.IMBERAKURI requests its supporters to remain faithful to the objectives of the Party, to ensure the well being of Rwandans and not to discourage.The Party also requests them to follow closely the political era of our country and to resist to sick plans of the Kigali regime. P.S.IMBERAKURI uses this opportunity to demand the friends of the Kigali regime especially the ones favoring democracy in their home countries to quarantine this regime that's determined to never apply democratic principles. Those countries were previously grieved by what happened in Rwanda, and P.S.IMBERAKURI is afraid that it may repeat itself if nothing is done to change this situation."Forewarned is forearmed".

IN DOING SO, YOU’LL BE ACTIVIST OF THE TRUTH !!!

Done at Kigali, 29th December 2009

Founder and President of P.S.IMBERAKURI.
