President Kagame’s killing squad failed two murder attempts before the shooting incidence of a Rwandan refugee journalist Charles Ingabire in Kampala last week.
News reaching Umuvugizi from reliable sources found out that Kagame’s spies had tried to assassinate two people in Kampala city slightly before his murder.
According to sources, one of the Congolese national who was at the same time close to the assassinated journalist survived assassination attempt which had been carried out by president Kagame killing squad.
The Congolese national who was in Kampala for medical reasons is among Congolese nationals also critical to Kagame’s dealings and had been on the Kigali DMI wanted list for some time.
According to the investigations, the killing of Ingabire who was the editor of Inyenyeri.com also came just a day after the killing squad had missed shooting President Kagame’s former body guard Lt Mutabazi Joel.
The former presidential body guard fled to Uganda this year following torture and physical damages incurred on him by Rwanda ’s directorate of military intelligence. This happened after it alleged him of being Gen Kayumba’s sympathizer.
Kagame’s killing squad commanded by Col Dan Munyuza failed again the bloody assigned mission of murdering Lt Mutabazi’s on Tuesday , 29th November, while Charles Ingabire was killed Wednesday night in the wee hours leading to Thursday.
All these incidences are taking place after Kigali intelligence services have flooded Kampala city with spies in preparation for Kagame’s visit to the country scheduled for December 11.
Ingabire had been target for Kagame’s spies for long, they tried blocking his news site several times while at the same time they pestered him to abandon journalism and support Kagame’s government.
The deceased had been a journalist for a short while, he started publishing his articles in Umuco newspaper in Rwanda slightly before his fleeing to exile in Kampala ,an incidence which also happened at the same time when a click of Rwanda ’s first lady Jeannette Kagame failed his microfinance called Ongera.
Ingabire Charles with his former business partners got some business misunderstanding with Rwanda ’s first lady’s business click , an incidence which drove their microfinance into financial problems thus becoming liquidated. some of their share holders and managers were imprisoned while others fled the country.
In 2010 Ingabire started writing for Umuvugizi newspaper under the byline Charles l. roi until he opened up his news website www.inyenyerinews.com later the same year.
One of his close friends Kalisa Innocent who talked to Umuvugizi slightly after his death expressed his sorrow over the death of his coleague. He said that “I got to know Charles only last year when I fled Kagame’s army where I was among the presidential guards. I knew Charles as a friend, a person who did not have any problem with any person but had always received threats from Col. Dan Munyuza and Gen Rutatina,” he ruled out any possibility of any one wanting Charles dead except the Kigali establishment that has kept them under severe threats.
Charles had lately been receiving death threats from Kigali government after publishing a series of articles about Kagame’s evil deeds.
Rwandan refugees in Uganda say it is not wise fleeing from Kagame’s government and live in Uganda most especially when you keep criticising the Rwanda ’s strongest first lady who never tolerate any criticism.
Charles Ingabire’s death came before Reporters Without Borders had expressed concern over the security of Umuseso journalists who also live as refugees in Uganda and who had been also under several attacks from President Kagame’s killing squad.
Two people suspected of having any information about the journalist’s shooting were arrested by Ugandan police while investigations are still on.
