Kampala
Dear readers, as we told you in the story "A big thank you from Radio Katwe" of yesterday, we are preparing a big story that involves Colonel Jackson Rwahama and Major General Fred Ibingira of the RPA. Thank you for the tips and please continue to send in any information that you have on these two. It is really important. Also the radio code names, we are still receiving your input
Today we would also like information on Colonel William Bagire the fellow who was the commanding officer of the 7th RPA Mobile Battalion in 1994.
We are also looking for information on the guy by the names of 2nd Lt. Viki Ariki of the RPA in the 1990s. They also play a very important part in the story we are building and we appreciate your contributions.
When our preparations are ready we shall tell you our esteemed readers why we have taken so much interest in these fellows Col. Jackson Rwahama, Col. William Bagire, and Major-General Fred Ibingira.
We are also inviting contributions specific to what took place in Luwero Triangle during the NRA guerilla war. We always hear some stories from some big men in the news papers but they dont say everything. So please can you write in and tell us what you saw, what you heard, and what you know about Luwero.
Some research shows that there was the Black Bomber unit of the National Resistance Army (NRA). The commander of the Black Bombers was a man called Paul Kagame. I think most of you know him.
This Black Bomber squad killed a lot of people in the bush. They did most of their killing using small hoes which are nicknamed "akafuni". They would smash the head of their victims with the ka hoe.
We want their full story. We have been told the Black Bombers were given the duty of killing NRA troops who tried to mutiny or who could not be trusted or just feared to fight. Also their main work was to do the killing of civilians so that people in Luwero and Uganda as a whole think it is the work of Obote and the UNLA. Some top Black Bombers were Kagame, Hannington Mugabi, and some others. Tell us the others and their full story.
On behalf of many grateful Ugandans we thank you for your time and effort.
